Something Changed
The crowd noticed something shift. Dwayne no longer stood like the joker. His posture collapsed into silence. His grin was gone. People whispered among themselves. “What’s going on?” someone muttered. Another said, “Is he okay?” His performance had ended. He wasn’t being funny anymore. He wasn’t performing. He was simply… frozen. Something deep had shaken the confidence right out of him.
