One of Dwayne’s friends stepped forward, eyes narrowed. “Dude, seriously, say something,” he said. Still no reply. Dwayne remained silent, transfixed. He wasn’t angry or joking—just distant. “He’s not messing around,” another whispered nervously. They started to feel uneasy too. Their friend had changed right before their eyes, and none of them had a clue why it happened.
