Joshua hunched over his phone, flipping through navigation apps with frantic precision. “We need a place with no cameras, no signals,” Derek muttered, voice low but urgent. Maddy gave a sharp nod, her eyes fixed on the dark road ahead. “I know a place. Dad’s old fishing cabin. No one’s been there in years.” It wasn’t much, but right now it was all they had. It wasn’t safety, but it was distance.
