The group of elderly men seemed oblivious to the hidden crew watching them. They went about their routine, lighting more lanterns placed around the room. As the chamber grew brighter, Carl and his team saw makeshift beds, worn but functional, made from old metal carts and other mining equipment. One of Carl’s crew members, unable to contain his shock, let out a small gasp.
