In her kitchen, Brianna glanced nervously at the tiny animal resting on a folded towel. Its chest rose and fell in steady rhythm. Not wanting to leave it out all night, she searched for something better. A shoebox caught her eye. She padded it with the towel and gently placed the creature inside. It curled up, unmoving. Was it afraid—or just exhausted?
