There was a thin, dirty mattress down there. It had stains on there, and it had soaked up the most woodland air. Around the mattress lay many crumpled food wrappers and a half-empty water bottle. Emily covered her mouth. “Oh my God… he slept here,” she whispered, horror creeping into her voice.
