Mixed emotions
As they sailed farther out, the noise of the harbor faded behind them. Now, only the gentle splash of waves remained. The crew moved quietly, adjusting gear, speaking in low voices. A strange mix of feelings hung over them—some excitement, some nerves. They were entering unfamiliar territory, and though they hoped for fish, part of them feared the unknown.
