“There’s nothing under there,” Amber whispered slowly. “No concrete, no support beams. Just… a hole.” She leaned in further, but the void swallowed every bit of light. It felt endless. Her old jokes weren’t funny anymore. They’d thought they knew this house so well. But maybe it was hiding more than creaky boards. Maybe something much stranger had been buried deeper.
