Charles’s hands shook as he took photo after photo—of the machine, the rusted pipes, and the workers wearing MLB gear. Tom recorded a video with his phone, capturing everything clearly. They didn’t speak much, just focused on getting the shots. When they had enough, they slowly backed away, careful not to make noise. “We’ve got what we need,” Charles whispered. “Let’s get out of here—now.” Their next stop would be the police station.
