Abby quickly went back inside to grab her phone, charger, and a sweater. As she came out again, she noticed a line of black sedans pulling up quietly. They didn’t look like rescue vehicles. Men in dark suits stepped out, not wearing badges or rescue gear. They didn’t speak to the crowd, didn’t offer help. They just moved straight to the sinkhole.
