Just as he shifted his weight for one more pull, a low rumble behind him snapped his focus. Liam heard the sound of tires on dirt and car doors slamming. He looked up and saw several dark vehicles had pulled up on the riverbank behind him. Men in tactical gear stepped out, moving quickly and with purpose.
