When the patrol loop aligned just right, Liam didn’t hesitate. He bolted from the tree line and sprinted across the muddy stretch toward the tent. The only sound was his own heartbeat. No shouts, no alarms. The guards had just passed. He ducked inside the canvas flap, heart racing. It was a simple pop-up tent, barely tall enough to stand in.
