Matt flipped through the documents, each page adding more weight to the mystery. These were legitimate research logs, dated between 1961 and 1963. There were official seals from marine institutes and even a few hand-drawn illustrations of deep-sea species. The handwriting changed between documents, suggesting a team effort. This had been a serious operation—structured, funded, and clearly hidden for reasons Matt couldn’t yet explain.
