Insane growth
The feeding routine became second nature. Mealworms, crushed chick feed, and warm water drops. The chicks responded to it all, gobbling food greedily, barely pausing between chirps. By the fifth day, they had nearly doubled in size. Ben was amazed. “This isn’t normal growth. It’s like they’re sprinting through development.” Laura agreed, watching the greenish sheen on their backs darken.
