The group pushed on into the jungle, leaving the beach quiet behind them. One of the brothers scanned the surroundings. “You said you didn’t go past the sand yesterday?” he asked. Jake shook his head. “No. We just stayed by the water.” The man nodded. “Then we start with the forest.” The group moved slowly, careful not to miss anything. The sun filtered through dense leaves.
