The corridor ended in a round, metal door with a wheel lock. Elliot approached cautiously. The steel surface shimmered with moisture, as if water had difficulty evaporating at this level. A plaque above it read: “Authorized Eyes Only – Jonas Archive.” Elliot reached out and turned the wheel. It groaned slowly, a deep mechanical sound reverberating through the walls. Then, a faint click.
