Ben stumbled back, eyes wide. “That’s… that’s not an orangutan,” he said. Rosa crouched closer, heart racing. The infant blinked slowly and squeaked again. Its long arms, pale face, and expressive eyes made it unmistakable. “It’s a gibbon,” she whispered. “A baby gibbon.” Not more than a few days old. But how had it gotten here?
