They prepared the space carefully—soft bedding, warm straw, enrichment items. Then, they opened the side gate and gently placed the gibbon baby at the far edge, within Mara’s view. The moment she saw it, she ran toward the opening. With no hesitation, she crossed into the new enclosure, scooped up the infant, and sat back down—exactly the same way she had before.
