The man on the porch smiled faintly as Arthur and Rose approached. “You must be the couple who called yesterday,” he said, extending a hand. “Name’s Mr. Dalton. I’m the agent for this property.” His voice was calm and friendly, although his face hardly showed any emotion. He stepped aside and opened the heavy front door. “Shall we take a look inside?”
