A lifted curse
The house was way too big for Arthur and Rose anyway. So they offered to let the elderly duo live in one wing of the house. They would pay a little rent, which also helped Rose and Arthur. That way, all parties were happy. The elderly couple, whose names were Lucile and James, accepted instantly with a broad smile. And with that handshake, the curse was finally lifted.
