Something buried
Even while lying face down in the grass, the detector kept shrieking louder than ever before. Cade bent down and picked it up, curious. He had never once tried using the machine in his own yard. It was just a beach thing. Still, he hovered it again over the same spot, and the noise screamed back at him like a siren. Something was definitely buried there.
