Eli backed away, circling the structure slowly. This thing had been down here for a while; that much became clear. And even though Eli knew his history and the architecture in this area, the design of this underwater building was completely foreign to him. It looked like something between a Mesopotamian ziggurat and a wartime bunker, clearly built to last.
