Dr. Merritt said beforehand that he didn’t expect much result from his hack. That office building was probably a decoy building. No person spying would be dumb enough to stay in the first building linked to the camera feed. But when Merritt pressed enter, the opposite proved to be true. They got into the building’s security cameras and found the room where the source came from.
