A few hours later, a short, balding man with thick glasses arrived at their door. He introduced himself as Dr. Collins, a local historian and artifact specialist. He barely greeted the family before moving straight to the tablet on the table. Without saying a word, he put on a pair of thin gloves and started examining the tablet closely, his face inches away from the shimmering surface.
