A hard fall
Dylan rushed to the window and watched as the intruder landed in the garden below with an awkward thud. The person stumbled, clearly hurt, and limped across the yard, disappearing into the shadows beyond the fence. Dylan felt a mix of fear and fury rising in his chest. His precious tablet, the treasure he had only just discovered, was slipping away right before his eyes.
