Snapping out of his daze, Kevin took a deep breath and dashed after him. He felt his heart pounding in his chest, every step echoing on the pavement. He yelled after the man, “Wait! Please! Tell me what’s going on!” But the old man only ran faster, moving with surprising agility as he slipped around corners and ducked past trash bins, never once looking back.
